India and Qatar meet to discuss economic development

Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to pay a visit to the country while expressing interest in partnering India’s economic growth.
During the telephonic conversation, the two leaders discussed measures to further deepen bilateral cooperation, including in the areas of trade, investment, energy, security, defence, culture and people-to-people contacts.
The Prime Minister recalled the visit of the Emir of Qatar to India earlier this year in March and said it has provided new vigour and momentum to bilateral relations.
