Airstrikes not enough to fight the Islamic state

Turkish officials said that airstrikes are not enough to fight against the Islamic state.

According to theTurkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, an active ground force of fighters from moderate opposition groups is necessary.
Prime Minister Ahmet DavutoÄŸlu also declared that Turkey has trained 2,000 fighters in Bashiqa camp in Iraq upon the request of Mosul governor.
Turkish soldiers have been in the region to train Kurdish Peshmerga forces and Arab troops for the past two-and-a-half years.
