The Nuclear project is ongoing between Turkey and Russia

Some news claimed that the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Turkey was stopped following the downing of a Russian military jet by the Turkish air forces. 

But Turkish Energy And Natural Resources Ministry officials and Russia’s Nuclear Agency Rosatom confirmed that the project is ongoing, and there is no such issue in term of cancel it.

The $20 billion Akkuyu Nuclear Plant situated in the southern province of Mersin is the first of three nuclear stations to be built in Turkey to provide the country’s energy self-sufficiency.
