Suicide bombing kills 45 in Yemen’s Aden

– At least 45 people were killed and 60 others wounded in a suspected suicide car bomb attack in Yemen’s southern Aden city Monday, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF), reported Anadolu Agency.

According to initial reports, a bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into a building of pro-government forces in northern Aden at a time when they were having their breakfast.

In a post on one of the organization’s official social media accounts (@msf_yemen), the organization tweeted: “@MSF Hospital in Aden received 45 dead and at least 60 wounded from #Aug29 morning explosion #Yemen.”

A source in pro-government militia earlier told Anadolu Agency that 15 fighters had been killed and scores injured in the attack.

Yemen has been ravaged by civil war since late 2014, when Houthi rebels overran capital Sanaa and a number of other provinces, forcing the government of President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to flee to Saudi Arabia.
