6 Daesh terrorists killed in northern Syria: Turkish Military

Six Daesh terrorists were killed by coalition airstrikes in northern Syria, the Turkish military said Wednesday, reported Anadolu Agency.

In a statement, the Turkish General Staff gave the total toll for airstrikes and artillery bombardments against Daesh targets Tuesday.

As well as six terrorists killed by airstrikes, three of which were reported Tuesday, the military said artillery strikes on the Wuguf region to the south of the town of Al-Rai destroyed four mortar positions and two defensive emplacements.

The statement said a total of 524 targets had been hit since Operation Euphrates Shield, which aims to drive Daesh out of the region to the south of Turkey’s border, was launched on Aug. 24.
