Turkish police detain dozens of terrorist suspects in Istanbul, Daesh terrorists burn alive 2 Turkish soldiers

Police sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media, told that 31 suspects out of 41 have been detained as part of an investigation against the Daesh terrorist organization.

Arrest warrants were issued by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office for the 41 suspects for “being a member of an armed terrorist organization.

According to terrorist incident, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “Turkey is going through one of its roughest periods in history at fighting against terrorism.”

“I believe that our police officers, soldiers, village guards and this nation will finish terrorism by standing in unity and solidarity.” he added.

Erdogan expressed the country’s determination to fight against terrorism. “As the world and our region are being reshaped in this critical period, we would have seen ourselves in the situation as the Treaty of Sevres [that was imposed on the Ottoman Empire following the end of the World War I] had we not acted now.”

“Turkey is engaged in its biggest struggle since the War of Independence,” he said.

“We are facing asymmetrical attacks now in contrast with the past’s fight. Terror organizations are just the pawns. The main struggle is with the forces behind them. These powers put pressure on our sensitive points wherever they see.” he added.

However, Bahceli said countering terrorism should be carried out whatever the cost.

“There is no other way left,” Bahceli added. “It is out of question to backtrack from this hard and inconvenient way.”
