Turkey’s Justice Minister to meet with US counterpart

Turkey’s Minister of Justice announced that there could be new developments regarding Fetullah Gülen’s extradition

“We expect there to be new developments. Since Trump assumed office, we sent new evidence [for Gülen’s extradition],” said Bozdağ.“We will have the oppurtunity to outline to to the new Justice Minister of the U.S. exactly what Turkey’s expectations are regarding the extradition of FETÖ [Gülen] and other FETÖ suspects either face to face or via telephone.”

Turkey has repeatedly asked the U.S. to temporarily arrest and extradite Gülen, who is the leader of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).

Ankara has sent 85 boxes of evidence proving Gülen was behind the failed coup and is the mastermind behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the Turkish state.
