Yemen: Houthi missile kills 6 Saudi soldiers

A ballistic missile attack has targeted a Saudi military base inside Saudi Arabia, killing six soldiers, Press TV reported.

The missile attack killed six Saudi Arabian soldiers at the Al-Shabakah military base, located in southern Saudi Arabia’s Najran region.

This attack follows yesterday’s Houthi sniper attack which killed six Saudi soldiers near the Hajjar province along the Yemen-Saudi border.

Houthis recently attacked Saudi Arabia

The Houthis conducted a a few days ago an ambush inside Saudi Arabia’s southern border; targeting two military vehicles, Al Masdar reported.

Houthi fighters fired anti-tank missiles on two Saudi Arabian military vehicles outside the Ujbah military base, in the Jizan province.

The number of casualties remains unknown.

The Houthis frequently conduct incursions inside Saudi Arabia, targeting army barracks and military personnel. Saudi Arabia entered the Yemen civil war to reinstate President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi who was forced out of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, in 2015 after the Houthis took control of government institutions.

A Saudi-led coalition has used airstrikes to support militias backed by Hadi and international troops to recapture the northern part of the country and stop the Houthi advance to the south.
