Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım in his speech at the inter-delegation meeting addressed the bilateral relations between Turkey and Vietnam

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım expressed his thanks to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc for their attentiveness to himself and his delegation in a speech at the presidential building in Vietnam.

Stating that Turks were aware of and appreciate the Vietnamese nation’s heroic struggle in defending their country, Yıldırım explained that the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1978.

Yıldırım said that the relations since then have been carried out based on solidarity and respect, and added: “We, as Turkey, consider Vietnam as a strong and reliable ally in the Southeastern Asia region. There is a good opportunity for great cooperation between the two countries which are similar in terms of population. I would like to share with you that all conditions are suitable to reveal this potential, and advance our relations.”

Noting that they arrived in Vietnam with a large delegation, including businessmen, Yıldırım said that they will evaluate possible cooperation opportunities after their members of the business world meet in Vietnam or Turkey.

Additionally, he pointed out that the contacts made will contribute to boosting the relations which improve every year.
